Advisor to the Regional Office of the Punjab Ombudsman in Sargodha, Muhammad Ilyas Gill, participated in Radio Pakistan Sargodha’s special programme “Meri Pehchan Pakistan” and spoke in detail about public issues related to provincial government departments, complaints, and the mechanism for their prompt resolution.

Muhammad Ilyas Gill said that the Punjab Ombudsman is playing an effective role in resolving various challenges and problems faced by the public and ensuring prompt relief. During the programme, he also noted complaints received from listeners and guided them about the procedure for registering and pursuing their grievances.

He said citizens could register their complaints by contacting the Punjab Ombudsman’s 24-hour, seven-days-a-week helpline at 1050. Complaints can also be submitted in writing on plain paper at the Regional Office of the Punjab Ombudsman in Sargodha, while an online complaint registration facility is also available.

Speaking about the performance of the Regional Office in Sargodha, Muhammad Ilyas Gill said that approximately 1,500 complaints had been received from January 1 to August 2026, of which nearly 900 had already been decided.

He said the complaints received mainly concerned Suthra Punjab, the Revenue Department, WASA, Police, the Social Welfare Department, and other provincial government institutions.

Muhammad Ilyas Gill advised citizens to place their trust in the Punjab Ombudsman for obtaining prompt and free-of-cost justice. He encouraged them to submit their complaints on plain paper to the relevant regional office or file them online.

Describing Radio Pakistan Sargodha’s programme “Meri Pehchan Pakistan” as an open forum for addressing public grievances, he assured listeners that citizens who submit their applications along with a copy of their CNIC through Radio Pakistan would also be assisted in registering and forwarding their complaints through the prescribed procedure.

During the programme, citizens and listeners from different areas of Sargodha contacted the station by telephone and highlighted their grievances concerning various provincial departments. The representative of the Punjab Ombudsman provided them with necessary guidance regarding the registration and resolution of their complaints.

The listeners appreciated Radio Pakistan Sargodha’s efforts to highlight public issues and bring them to the attention of the relevant authorities. They called for the continuation of such public-awareness and grievance-redressal programmes so that citizens could have an effective platform for resolving their problems.
