The 79th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated in Noorpur Thal with great national spirit, enthusiasm, unity and patriotic fervour. A dignified flag-hoisting ceremony was organized at the Assistant Commissioner’s Office, Noorpur Thal, which was attended by government officials, police and Rescue 1122 personnel, teachers, students, political and social figures, and people from various walks of life.
On the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Noorpur Thal Shazia Rehman, Deputy Superintendent of Police Chaudhry Muhammad Akram, representative of MNA Malik Gul Dad Khan Baghour, and representative of MPA Sardar Sajid Khan hoisted the national flag. As the green and white crescent-and-star flag rose high into the sky, the participants were filled with patriotic fervour, and the entire atmosphere echoed with enthusiastic slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad.”
Smartly turned-out contingents of the Punjab Police and Rescue 1122 presented a salute to the national flag. The impressive parade and salute by the personnel added dignity and splendour to the ceremony. Special prayers were also offered for the security, progress, prosperity and stability of Pakistan.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy DEO Zaheer Abbas Bhatti, In-charge Rescue Office Noorpur Thal Hafiz Malik Ismatullah Borana, Senior Headmaster Malik Imtiaz Hussain Borana, Headmaster Malik Allah Rakha, and renowned social personality Malik Muhammad Iqbal Khan Sunbal, along with officers and personnel of the Municipal Committee Noorpur Thal and Suthra Punjab, teachers, students and a large number of citizens.
A cake-cutting ceremony was also held to mark Independence Day. The participants expressed their resolve to fulfil their responsibilities sincerely and contribute to the development, prosperity and stability of Pakistan. The speakers said that freedom is a great blessing achieved through the unprecedented sacrifices of our forefathers. They stressed the need to strengthen national unity, play an active role in the country’s development and educate the younger generation about the objectives and sacrifices behind the creation of Pakistan.
The Independence Day ceremony in Noorpur Thal beautifully demonstrated that love for the homeland is not confined to any particular class or institution; rather, the love of Pakistan lives in the hearts of every Pakistani. Officers, officials, teachers, students and citizens gathered under the national flag with a shared spirit of patriotism, giving the impression that the entire town of Noorpur Thal had come together as one family to celebrate the birthday of their beloved homeland.
On the occasion, participants also pledged to work for a stronger, more developed and prosperous Pakistan by promoting national unity, respect for the law, education, honesty and public service. The speakers said that these values represent the true spirit of freedom and the finest expression of loyalty to the homeland.
