A dignified flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Commissioner’s Office Sargodha to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day. Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali, Regional Police Officer Shehzad Asif Khan, Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, District Police Officer Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem, MNAs Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti and Iram Hamid Hamid, along with other senior officers, attended the ceremony.
The national flag was hoisted during the ceremony, while a smartly turned-out contingent of the police presented a salute. The national anthem and patriotic songs were also performed, creating an atmosphere of national pride and enthusiasm.
Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali cut the Independence Day cake and a special prayer was offered for the security, progress, prosperity and development of Pakistan.
In his message, Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali said that Pakistan was a great blessing from Almighty Allah. He stressed that the country could be made stronger and more prosperous through national unity, honesty and hard work.
