A grand ceremony was organized by the Arts Council Sargodha to celebrate the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan. Former Minister of State and former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chaudhry Hamid Hamid, MNA Ms. Iram Hamid Hamid, the Commissioner of Sargodha Division, the Regional Police Officer Sargodha, DPO Sargodha, Chaudhry Zafar Gondal, Member Central Committee Punjab of the Human Rights Movement, and a large number of distinguished citizens of Sargodha attended the ceremony.

On the occasion, MNA Ms. Iram Hamid Hamid inaugurated the newly established Art Gallery at the Arts Council Sargodha. During her visit to the gallery, she reviewed the artwork displayed there and appreciated the services of the Arts Council Sargodha for the promotion of art, culture, and literary activities.

The distinguished guests also participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony. Children presented colourful tableaux depicting their love and devotion to their beloved homeland, which were warmly appreciated by the audience. National songs and patriotic performances further added to the spirit of the occasion.

Addressing the participants, Ms. Iram Hamid Hamid highlighted the importance of Pakistan’s independence, national unity, and collective efforts for the country’s development and prosperity.

Later, Chaudhry Hamid Hamid, along with the Commissioner of Sargodha Division and other officers, presented a cheque of Rs. 100,000, sent by the Chief Minister of Punjab, to a talented daughter of Sargodha in recognition of her achievement.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the distinguished participants expressed their love and devotion to Pakistan and offered special prayers for the security, stability, progress, prosperity, and continued development of the country.
