The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a weather advisory from tomorrow till Friday, forecasting rain, thunderstorms and strong winds in several parts of the country.

According to National Emergencies Operation Centre of NDMA, rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds is expected in several districts of Punjab with heavy rainfall possible at isolated locations. Areas of forecast include Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Lahore, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha and surrounding regions.

Parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Swat, Chitral, Dir, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar and surrounding districts are are also expected to experience thunderstorms, strong winds and rain, with isolated heavy showers possible.

Rain and thunderstorms are also expected in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir including Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Diamer, Astore, Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley and other areas.

The NDMA has alerted relevant authorities to the forecast weather conditions. Travellers and tourists have been advised to check weather updates before travelling and use the Pak NDMA Disaster Alert mobile app for guidance.

In case of a flood-related emergency, the public can dial 911 for assistance.
