Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for Zakat and Ushr, Rashid Iqbal Nasrullah, paid a special visit to Khushab and chaired a meeting of the Zakat and Ushr Department at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
Administrator Zakat and Ushr Khushab and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber briefed the meeting on the Zakat funds received so far and their distribution among deserving beneficiaries.
Member Punjab Zakat Council and former Senator Dr. Ghaus Muhammad Khan Niazi, District Zakat Officer Sharjeel Ahmed, and other relevant officers were also present on the occasion.
Later, Rashid Iqbal Nasrullah met with field clerks of the Zakat and Ushr Department and listened to their concerns. Regarding their demand for an increase in salaries, he said that the matter would be considered at the next meeting of the Punjab Zakat Council.
