To commemorate Defence Day and pay tribute to the brave sons of the nation who made supreme sacrifices for the protection of the motherland, a grand rally was taken out from the Assistant Commissioner’s Office in Noorpur Thal under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner Shazia Rehman.
Officials and personnel from the Education Department, Livestock and Veterinary Department, Agriculture Department, Municipal Committee and Rescue 1122 participated in the rally in large numbers. The participants raised enthusiastic slogans in praise of Pakistan and paid rich tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their unwavering courage and sacrifices.
The participants also paid homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the security, sovereignty and integrity of the country. The atmosphere was filled with patriotic spirit and national pride.
Earlier, a smartly turned-out contingent of Rescue 1122 presented a salute to the national flag, marking the Defence Day celebrations with a strong expression of patriotism and respect for the nation’s heroes.
