A dignified flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Khushab, on the occasion of Pakistan’s Defence Day on September 6. Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Khurram Hameed, DSP Khushab Muhammad Amjad, and heads of law-enforcement agencies in Khushab district attended the ceremony.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Khurram Hameed and DSP Khushab Muhammad Amjad hoisted the national flag. CEO Health Dr. Nabeel Saleem, officers and personnel of Punjab Police, Civil Defence, Rescue 1122, Municipal Committee Jauharabad, various government departments, and a large number of citizens also participated in the ceremony.
Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, a Defence Day solidarity rally was taken out under the leadership of ADC Revenue Khurram Hameed and DSP Khushab Muhammad Amjad. The rally started from the DC Complex premises and, passing through various routes, concluded at the main gate of the DC Office. Officers and personnel from law-enforcement agencies and various government departments participated in the rally.
The participants expressed their love for Pakistan and solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Addressing the participants, ADC Revenue Khurram Hameed said that Pakistan is a great and secure country and that the security of the homeland is in strong and capable hands. He said that the Pakistan Armed Forces are a shining example of bravery, determination, courage, and national service and remain ready at all times to defend the country.
He further said that the Pakistan Armed Forces stand firm and resolute like a rock in defending the country. The nation is proud of its brave armed forces, and the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with them for the defence, security, and sovereignty of Pakistan.
At the conclusion of the Defence Day flag-hoisting ceremony and rally, special prayers were offered for the progress, prosperity, security, and stability of the country. Rich tribute was also paid to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defence of the motherland.
