Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar chaired an important review meeting at the Conference Hall to assess the performance and progress of the Suthra Punjab Programme.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services and Managing Director Suthra Punjab Zaryab Sajid briefed the meeting on sanitation arrangements in Tehsil Khushab, Nowshera, Noorpur Thal, Quaidabad, Utra and other areas.
He provided a detailed briefing on various activities being carried out under Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Suthra Punjab Programme, including cleaning of streets and drains, door-to-door waste collection, cleanliness of main roads and other public areas. The meeting also reviewed the deployment and performance of Suthra Punjab workers, supervisors and tehsil managers, besides the availability and utilization of equipment and machinery.
Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar directed tehsil managers, supervisors and field workers to remain fully active and visible in the field to ensure effective sanitation services. He said that negligence or dereliction of duty in implementation of the Chief Minister’s Suthra Punjab Programme would not be tolerated.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that 100 percent results must be achieved in cleanliness and sanitation operations, directing all concerned officials and staff to ensure strict implementation of a zero-tolerance policy.
