The Pakistan Cricket Board’s School Cricket Talent Hunt Programme has officially commenced in Lahore today.
Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi arrived at Gaddafi Stadium, where the opening match was played between the Beaconhouse and Aitchison College teams. Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi was the chief guest at the opening match.
Mohsin Naqvi met the players of both Beaconhouse and Aitchison College teams and encouraged the young cricketers. He also expressed his best wishes to both teams.
According to the PCB Chairman, around 21,000 students from 1,400 schools across 100 districts will participate in the programme this year.
He said that 2,895 matches will be played under the School Cricket Talent Hunt Programme during the current year.
Mohsin Naqvi said that efforts to promote cricket at the grassroots level and encourage young talent would continue.
