The PIBF Global Delegation made a strong representation of Pakistan at the 21st MÜSİAD EXPO held from 23 to 26 September 2026 at the Istanbul Expo Center in Türkiye. The approximately 37-member delegation actively participated in the exhibition, the 29th International Business Forum (IBF) Conference, and several diplomatic and business meetings.

The delegation was led by Mr. Sohail Aziz, Director of PIBF Global and President of PIBF Karachi, while Mr. Muhammad Aamir Rafay served as Chief Coordinator of the PIBF Global Delegation for MÜSİAD EXPO 2026. Members included industrialists, exporters, and young entrepreneurs from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and other cities.

MÜSİAD is an influential private business organization of Türkiye with nearly 60,000 members and chapters in 79 countries worldwide. Around 42 countries were represented at the 29th IBF Conference. It is noteworthy that the first IBF Conference was held in Pakistan in 1995. Keeping this historic background in view, the Pakistani delegation proposed that Pakistan host the IBF Conference and related international business activities in 2029. According to the upcoming schedule, the next conference will be held in Syria in 2027, in Türkiye in 2028, while Pakistan’s proposal for 2029 is under consideration.

In the Board of Governors meeting, Mr. Sohail Aziz highlighted Pakistan’s economy, export sector, SMEs, and the potential of the young business community. The vision of expanding Mera Brand Pakistan into a broader platform of Muslim Brands was also presented. PIBF invited IBF and MÜSİAD chapters from around the world to participate in the Grand Mera Brand Pakistan Expo scheduled for 22–24 January 2027 at the Karachi Expo Center.

The delegation presented shields to Pakistan’s Consul General Mr. Foja Khurram, the Chairman of IBF, MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir, and other dignitaries. On the final day of the Expo, a special meeting was held with MÜSİAD General Secretary Mr. Mehmet Çakmak, during which discussions focused on strengthening trade relations between Pakistan and Türkiye, joint exhibitions, and investment opportunities.

This participation has opened practical avenues for introducing Pakistani products in the Muslim world, export networking for SMEs, and elevating Mera Brand Pakistan to an international level. PIBF stated that with organized platforms and consistent follow-up, Pakistan’s business community has the capacity to play a meaningful role on the global stage.
