Punjab Health Secretary Nadia Saqib, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar, conducted a detailed inspection of DHQ Hospital Jauharabad Campus-I and Khushab Campus-II. She reviewed the medical facilities being provided to patients, availability of medicines, cleanliness, fire safety and other administrative arrangements.

During the visit, the Punjab Health Secretary inspected various departments, including the emergency department, male and female wards, gynaecology, trauma centre, pharmacy and laboratory. She was given a detailed briefing on the availability of medicines, healthcare facilities being provided to patients and other administrative matters.

Nadia Saqib also checked the attendance of doctors and nursing staff. She visited patients admitted to both campuses and directly obtained feedback from them regarding the availability of medicines, medical facilities and treatment services.

The Punjab Health Secretary said that the Punjab government’s Free Medicine Vision, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, would be implemented in letter and spirit at DHQ Hospital Jauharabad Campus-I and Khushab Campus-II. She said that providing quality and timely healthcare facilities to patients was among the top priorities of the Punjab government.
She directed the hospital administration to ensure uninterrupted availability of medicines and quality healthcare services, stressing that no negligence in this regard would be tolerated. She further directed the administration to keep patients’ convenience as the top priority and take effective measures to further improve the standard of healthcare services.

Nadia Saqib also inspected cleanliness arrangements at both hospital campuses and directed the concerned authorities to further improve the cleanliness system. She reviewed fire safety and public safety measures in detail and instructed the relevant officials to make safety arrangements more effective.
