Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that the provision of clean water is a public right and every citizen will get clean water.

Chairing a special meeting of the Saaf Pani Authority in Lahore, she set June next year as the deadline for completing the installation of more than five thousand water filtration plants in the province.

The Chief Minister assigned the Deputy Commissioner the responsibility of monitoring the water filtration plants.

Maryam Nawaz also approved the Last Mile Water Supply project, through which water will be supplied to more affected areas of Chakwal, Rawalpindi and Rajanpur.
