AJK President Dr. Muhammad Najeeb Naqi has said that Kashmir is Pakistan’s jugular vein and that the two are inseparable.
He was addressing a ceremony in connection with the Founding Day of the state of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in Muzaffarabad today.
The AJK President said the relationship between Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir is not merely geographical. It is rooted in Islamic, ideological and spiritual bonds.
Najeeb Naqi said political, diplomatic and moral support extended by Pakistan is highly valued by the people of Kashmir.
The AJK President paid tribute to the resilience and sacrifices of the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Najeeb Naqi urged international community and the United Nations to play their role in ensuring that the Kashmiri people are granted their right to self-determination in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions, emphasizing that this is essential for lasting peace in the region.
