An awareness campaign and farmers’ gathering were organised in Noorpur Thal under the auspices of the Agriculture Extension Department, Khushab, focusing on wheat cultivation for the 2026–27 season, recovery of outstanding Punjab Kisan Card dues, and measures to prevent smog.
The gathering was attended by Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension), Khushab, Abdul Majeed Khan; Assistant Commissioner Noorpur Thal, Shazia Rehman; the Assistant Director Agriculture (Extension), Noorpur Thal; Agriculture Officer Rana Rizwan; and a large number of local farmers.
On the occasion, farmers were briefed on various agricultural initiatives of the Punjab Government, the importance of timely wheat cultivation, timely payment of outstanding Punjab Kisan Card dues, and measures to combat smog.
The agricultural officials urged farmers to follow modern agricultural recommendations and ensure timely sowing of wheat to achieve better crop yields. They also emphasised the importance of adopting preventive measures to reduce environmental pollution and playing an active role in controlling smog.
The participants were further encouraged to benefit from government agricultural policies and initiatives aimed at improving the agricultural sector.
