A 50-member business delegation from the ASEAN countries, led by Secretary Trade Development Authority of Pakistan Dr. Farid Iqbal Qureshi, called on the Governor of the Punjab, Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman at the Governor’s House in Lahore today.

Talking to them, the Governor expressed keen interest to expand trade ties with ASEAN member countries in various sectors, including textiles, machinery, food processing.

He emphasized that Public relations and exchanges of business delegations are essential for strengthening ties between ASEAN member states.

The Governor said that Special incentives have been given to investors in Special Economic Zones in order to promote investment in Pakistan and business delegations from ASEAN countries can also benefit from this.
