Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA) Chairman, Alamgir A. Shaikh, along with our Junior National U21 Champion, Muhammad Hasnain Akhtar, who has recently done the country proud, by winning the coveted title (Gold Medal), Asian U21 Snooker Champion 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, met the Secretary Sports, Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC), Mr. Nadeem Irshad Kayani at Pakistan Sports Board, Coaching Centre, Karachi.

 

The Chairman appreciated for the timely financial support / Grants received from the Pakistan Sports Board, which has enabled the Pakistan snooker team would fulfill their international commitments.

 

The Chairman discussed the establishment of snooker academies in the premises of the Pakistan Sports Board, National Training Centers in the above mentioned cities.  Further the Chairman – PBSA also proposed that two (2) Snooker Tables in each Center would be provided by the PBSA for the academies.

 

The Chairman requested the Secretary Sports-IPC., to allow the association to hire an international snooker coach, Sohail Vahedi for our junior players.

 

The Chairman also requested the Secretary Sports-IPC., to kindly consider the long pending issue of the Yearly Medal Tally Sheet with prize money, proposed by our federation / association, since last 6 years.
