Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman has stressed the need for setting priorities to deal with climate change.

In a statement on Monday, she said that a meeting has been held with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the issue of heatwave.

Sherry Rehman said the Ministry of Climate Change has also held discussions with the four Chief Secretaries, the health and the information ministers as well as other relevant departments on the matter.

She said there is a need to constitute a task force to seriously tackle the issue of climate change.
