Advisor to Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira says government is committed to help the flood victims through a transparent mechanism.

Talking to the media in Lahore on Thursday, he said the federal government is providing twenty-five thousand rupees to each flood affected family through Benazir Income Support Programme.

He said the relief and rehabilitation activities in the flood hit areas are continuing with the assistance of Pakistan Army.

Qamar Zaman Kaira said all the institutions including Pakistan Army, National Disaster Management Authority and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities are working in full coordination to conduct the survey and relief activities in flood hit areas.
