High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Pakistan Iqbal Hussain Khan called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore on Friday.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation, mutual trade, industrial collaboration and agricultural partnerships.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed appreciation for Bangladesh’s achievements in the garments industry, microfinance and its women-led workforce.

She welcomed collaboration with Bangladesh under the “Women First” agenda, particularly in women-led industrial clusters and digital up-skilling programs.

She emphasized that there is ample potential for cooperation between Punjab and Bangladesh in the fields of agriculture and food security.
