Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that officers of the Information Service are the first defenders of the ideological frontiers of the country.

Addressing the 41st passing-out ceremony of the Specialized Training Program at the Information Service Academy in Islamabad, he emphasized that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting plays a vital role not only in the functioning of the government but also in portraying the country’s positive image abroad and building the narrative of its progress and development.

Referring to the recent Indo-Pak war, the Information Minister stated that the first battle fought was the information war. He highlighted the crucial role played by the entire Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in achieving success during that period.

He said that our contributions during the war were acknowledged at the highest levels.

Attaullah Tarar said the Information Service has a long list of unsung heroes who have made remarkable contributions to the country. He mentioned that a new initiative has recently been launched to acknowledge these unsung heroes.
