Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar says this year’s Independence Day would be a double celebration, following Pakistan Armed Forces’ triumph over the enemy in the Marka-e-Haq.

Talking to media in Islamabad today (Wednesday), he said the nation will not only celebrate Independence Day tomorrow, but also mark the victory in the Marka-e-Haq in a befitting manner.

He said the enemy was defeated in the Marka-e-Haq by the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty.

Pointing out towards the enthusiasm shown by the public during ongoing celebrations, he said these celebrations are a clear message to India, showing how vibrant nations cherish their freedom and rejoice in their victories.

Information Minister announced that a spectacular fireworks display would be broadcast live from various cities, including Islamabad, precisely at midnight.

He said Independence Day celebrations will also include national songs and parades.

Attaullah Tarar said flag hoisting ceremonies will be held at various places in the country tomorrow morning. A special ceremony has also been organized in Shakar Parian, Islamabad.
