Pakistan and United Arab Emirates have agreed to strengthen cooperation in advanced technology, data innovation, and cross-border startup investment.
This has been decided at a meeting between Minister for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Undersecretary at the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology Omar Suwaina Al Suwaidi in Abu Dhabi on the sidelines of GITEX 2025.
During the meeting, the Minister highlighted Pakistan’s Digital Nation Pakistan Act, National Data Exchange Layer, and initiatives promoting a cashless economy, smart governance, and AI integration.
Shaza Fatima also met Chief Competitiveness Officer at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office Massimo Falcioni.
The meeting focused on expanding UAE-Pakistan collaboration in digital investment, fostering innovation, and exploring opportunities for cross-border technology partnerships.
