Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman has said all available resources are being utilized to meet the needs of flood affected people.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday along with Minister for Commerce Naveed Qamar and Minister of State for Law Shahadat Awan, she said the rescue operation is in full swing across the country saying the government is cognizant of the difficulties faced by the flood victims.

Sherry Rehman said the unprecedented floods which have surpassed the magnitude of super floods of 2010 has affected thirty three million people.  She also alluded to the threat of water borne diseases in the flood affected areas.

In his remarks, Naveed Qamar stressed that we should rise above politics to serve the flood affected people.
