Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar has said the Constitution protects right of Pakistani citizens as well as foreigners living in Pakistan.
Addressing a conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said under the constitution, it is duty of the state to ensure human rights of its citizens. He said our constitution protects rights of every citizen, including women and minorities. He said that fair trial is a fundamental right of every citizen under the law.
The Law Minister said the government of Pakistan is committed to harmonize its duties and responsibilities with regard to the international covenants and treaties.
