Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has called upon the Kashmiri youth to put their entire efforts to carry forward the mission of their martyrs to the ultimate goal of Jammu and Kashmir’s freedom from India’s illegal occupation.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah, in a message from New Delhi infamous Tihar jail said the overwhelming majority of the people of Kashmir are strongly committed to the right to self-determination, enshrined in the United Nations Security Council resolutions.

He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir are offering huge sacrifices for the freedom cause.

He appealed to the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to use their influence on India to settle the Kashmir dispute to ensure durable peace in South Asia.

Meanwhile, a big protest demonstration was held in Baramulla district against the Narendra Modi-led Indian government’s policies, targeting the Kashmiri people both economically and politically.

The residents from Watergam, Kawchak, Sheikhpora, Dardpora, Shirpora and Harnar assembled at Wagoora and raised slogans against the authorities.

They said the Modi government has formulated brutal policies to crush the Kashmiri people.

The protesters deplored that the occupation regime is sending inflated electricity bills to the consumers while the fact is that electricity remains suspended for more than 20 hours in a day.

They warned to continue the protest if such anti-Kashmiris’ policies were not revoked.

In continuation of the Modi government’s ongoing drive to grab the Kashmiris’ land on one pretext or another, the authorities, today, attached an immovable property belonging to a civilian Barkatullah Mir in Kulgam district.
