Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) and National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) have formally signed a zone development agreement of 12.5 billion rupees.

A ceremony to this effect was held at the STZA headquarters in Islamabad to establish a core alliance that will provide a platform to accelerate the growth of the growing national technology industry.

Spreading over 46.88 acres of land, the operational facility of the National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) at Haripur is equipped with state-of-the-art tech infrastructure.

The progress of this important project has been accelerated by the strategic support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) which has highlighted the STZA as a key pillar in country’s economic strategy.

Special Technology Zones Authority, in collaboration with the NRTC, intends to reshape and accelerate Pakistan’s high-tech sector and improve technological capabilities to compete in regional and global markets.

The agreement reaffirms the SIFC’s steadfast commitment to meet the country’s digital transformation needs and accelerate it by providing indigenous technology developed in Pakistan.
