
Minister for Finance, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb says Pakistan’s economy is now on the right track and heading towards sustainable growth.
Talking to media in Washington on Saturday, he stressed the importance of maintaining the current course and reaffirmed the government’s dedication to implementing ongoing reforms.
He said the economy has been strengthened due to government’s prudent measures. He pointed to an increase in foreign reserves, improved inflation trends, a better credit outlook, and a reduction in the fiscal deficit as indications of recent progress.
He mentioned the inclusion of agricultural income under the tax framework for the first time and called it a noteworthy development.
Muhammad Aurangzeb said that the achieved macroeconomic stability will pave the way for the nation’s sustainable economic expansion.
