Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain has urged all stakeholders to cooperate fully with the government to ensure smooth supply and fair pricing of sugar across the country.
He was speaking while chairing a high-level meeting with representatives of the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association and other stakeholders in Islamabad.
The meeting was convened to review the current situation of sugar pricing and compliance with the government’s notified ex-mill rate of 165 rupees per kilogram.
The Minister said government will not tolerate such manipulation of the market, which places an unfair burden on the common citizen.
