Minister for Energy Ali Pervaiz Malik has highlighted Pakistan’s vast mineral potential and its commitment to a low-carbon and resilient future.

He was addressing ‘International Mining and Resources Conference’ in Sydney, Australila today.

The Minister said Pakistan contributed less than one percent to global emissions, yet faced some of the harshest climate challenges.

Calling Pakistan’s energy transition not a choice but a necessity, he apprised the gathering of Pakistan’s renewable energy targets, investment incentives, and potential reserves of critical minerals.

Meanwhile, Ali Pervaiz Malik also met Director General-Minerals, Australia, who briefed him about the role of the mining sector in the Australian economy.

The Minister invited the Australian companies to invest in Pakistan’s mining sector.
