Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb says Pakistan is moving towards sustainable development.
Addressing a ceremony in Lahore , he said economic indicators have shown significant improvement as a result of reform-oriented measures.
He said investor-friendly policies have strengthened national economy while promotion of local industries has accelerated the revival of the productive sector.
The Minister said facilities provided to small and medium enterprises are creating new employment opportunities across the country.
He said restoration of confidence among investors and traders has contributed to business growth.
Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasized that creating an enabling environment for startups and young entrepreneurs remains a top priority of the government.
He said expansion of digital economy and e-commerce has enhanced business activities and digital reforms have been introduced to ensure transparency in the tax system.
Muhammad Aurangzeb said introduction of an automated system for tax collection is a good step, as it has enhanced transparency and public confidence.
