Foreign remittances in Pakistan have surged to record high of 3.6 billion dollars during the last month witnessing an increase of 13 percent.

This has taken the total remittances flow in the first half of the fiscal year 2026 to 19.7 billion dollars which are 41 percent higher than last year.     

As per the country wise breakdown of remittances, highest number of remittances was received from Saudi Arabia amounting to 813 million dollars, 726 million dollars were received from the UAE, 560 million from the UK and 302 million from the US to Pakistan.

According to Adviser to Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad the record remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis reflect their strong confidence in the government. 

He said the strong involvement of overseas Pakistanis in the country’s economy is a guarantee of long-term stability, sustainable growth and a bright future.
