
Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have expressed satisfaction over the progress made in recent years, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, and people-to-people ties.
The gesture was shown during a meeting between Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, and Speaker of the Federal National Council of United Arab Emirates, Saqr Ghobash in Abu Dhabi today.
During the meeting, the Chairman Senate and the Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council reaffirmed the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE, rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and a long tradition of close cooperation.
The Chairman Senate thanked the UAE’s Speaker of the Federal National Council for the warm hospitality. He also welcomed the UAE’s contributions to Pakistan’s economic stability, including the 10 billion dollar investment commitment.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani also extended an invitation to the Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council to visit Pakistan, which was graciously accepted.
In his remarks, Speaker of the UAE’s Federal National Council of United Arab Emirates, Saqr Ghobash said we are delighted to accept the invitation and look forward to visiting Pakistan soon. He said the visit would provide an opportunity to further strengthen parliamentary ties and explore new areas of cooperation.
The meeting underscored the strong commitment of both sides to deepen cooperation in various fields, including parliamentary diplomacy, trade, and investment.
The Chairman Senate and the Speaker of Federal National Council of United Arab Emirates exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, with a focus on promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
The visit further cemented the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE as both sides look forward to continued collaboration in the future.
