On the directions of Assistant Commissioner Noor Pur Thal, Dr. Haroon Ahmed Shiraz, the Para Force conducted visits to Lari Adda Rangpur Baghoor, Adhi Kot, and Chan to monitor market practices.
During the operation, vegetable and fruit shops as well as meat shops were inspected, and the officially notified price lists were thoroughly checked. Fines were imposed on shopkeepers who were charging rates higher than the approved price list, while several others were issued strict warnings.
Assistant Commissioner Dr. Haroon Ahmed Shiraz stated that overpricing will not be tolerated under any circumstances and that providing relief to the public remains the administration’s top priority. He further directed the concerned officials to continue regular monitoring of markets to ensure the availability of essential commodities at government-approved rates.
