Pakistan-China economic relations expanding: Ali Pervaiz

Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik says economic relations between Pakistan and China are expanding into new sectors, including petroleum and minerals.

He was addressing a special ceremony held in connection with the Chinese New Year at the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad.

The Minister extended heartfelt congratulations to the Chinese leadership, government, and people on the advent of the Chinese New Year. He said the Year of the Horse reflects the strength, resilience, and enduring nature of the friendship between Pakistan and China.

Ali Pervaiz Malik noted that several joint projects are currently underway between the two countries in the minerals sector.

He said that following the success of the Saindak project, the Siah Diq project would mark the next milestone in bilateral mineral cooperation.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chinese Ambassador reaffirmed his country’s commitment to continuing close cooperation with Pakistan across various sectors, including energy and minerals.
