Iran Says It Is Ready for Possible U.S. Ground Invasion

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has issued a defiant response to questions about the possibility of a U.S. ground invasion amid rising tensions between Iran and the United States.

During an interview with a reporter, Araghchi was asked whether Iran feared the possibility of American troops entering the country.

Responding firmly, he said: “No, we are waiting for them.”

When the reporter followed up by asking if he meant that Iran was ready for U.S. ground troops, the Iranian minister replied “Yes,” adding that Iran is confident it can confront any invasion.

Araghchi further warned that such a move would have serious consequences for Washington, stating that a U.S. ground invasion “would be a big disaster for them.”

His remarks come as tensions in the region continue to escalate, with U.S. officials leaving open the possibility of deploying ground forces in Iran, although no such deployment has been confirmed so far.

The comments highlight the increasingly confrontational rhetoric between Tehran and Washington as the conflict and military pressures in the region continue to intensify.
