Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed that no effort should be spared to protect the lives and property of the people.
He gave these instructions, while talking to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore today.
The Prime Minister arrived at the residence of Mohsin Naqvi and inquired after his health. He expressed best wishes for the speedy recovery of the Interior Minister.
Mohsin Naqvi was injured last Sunday in Islamabad while holding talks with protesters.
During the meeting, the overall internal security situation in the country was discussed.
The Interior Minister briefed the Prime Minister on measures taken to maintain law and order.
He said clear instructions have been issued to the police and other law enforcement agencies in this regard. He also said that he is personally monitoring the security arrangements.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the steps taken to ensure internal security.
