
The Pakistan Philosophical Association (PPA) celebrated its second anniversary during the Eid Milan Party, held alongside the 24th monthly meeting of the association. The event saw a large turnout of distinguished members and guests from various fields of life.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Muhammad Javed Iqbal Nadeem (President, PPA), Ghalib Ali Bandesha (Former IG), Dr. Akram Chaudhry, Dr. Shaheena Asif, Shehzad Bhatta (Former Director Special Education Punjab), Tanveer Abbas Tabish, Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed Bukhari, Dr. Rizwana Khalil, Javed Iqbal Bhatti, Nasif Awan, and Professor Atiya Syed.
Other notable attendees included Syed Qamar Abbas Shah (Vice Chairman, SEP Pakistan), Dr. Idris Rana, Ishrat Shamim, Azma Zareen Nazia, Dr. Sajid Ali, Dr. Ejaz Haq Ejaz, Zafar Iqbal Bhatti Advocate, Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry Advocate, Dr. Mahmood Afzal Advocate, Manzoor Ahmed Chaudhry, Nabeela Akbar, Muhammad Dawood Tahir, and several others.
Dr. Javed Iqbal Nadeem welcomed the participants and expressed his delight, saying that this day holds special significance as it marks the founding of the Pakistan Philosophical Association by a representative group of men and women associated with philosophy. Today, the association proudly celebrates its second anniversary.
He highlighted the objectives of the association, stating that its platform hosts monthly meetings where prominent and influential figures from society are invited to deliver lectures on various topics, sharing their professional experiences to enlighten the participants.
Dr. Nadeem further explained that philosophy seeks rational and logical answers to fundamental questions about the world and human life. It represents a love for wisdom, truth, existence, knowledge, ethics, logic, and reason. Philosophy involves understanding the causes and processes of things (why and how) and engaging in discussions about life’s concepts.
Professor Dr. Shaheena Asif Chaudhry praised Dr. Javed Iqbal Nadeem’s efforts, noting that bringing together senior professionals from diverse fields in today’s busy world is truly a blessing.
All participants shared their thoughts, commending Dr. Nadeem and the association for their continuous efforts to unite friends and colleagues—a highly commendable initiative in the current fast-paced life.
During the Eid Milan Party, commemorative shields were presented to the honored guests by Dr. Shaheena Asif Chaudhry, President of Rotary Club Shadman. At the conclusion of the event, all participants were also presented with special commemorative shields to mark the second anniversary of the Pakistan Philosophical Association.
