President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have congratulated new Prime Minister of Nepal Balendra Shah on assuming office after landslide victory of his party in elections.
In their separate felicitation messages, both leaders said Pakistan deeply values its longstanding and friendly relations with Nepal.
The President said it is encouraging to see youth-led leadership shaping the region.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan looks forward to working closely with Prime Minister of Nepal to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and advance shared goals of regional peace, stability and prosperity.
