Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar has said the one-year mark of India’s Pahalgam false-flag operation has proven once again that India’s narrative around the incident not only failed miserably, but proved Pakistan’s stance to the world about India’s involvement in the terrorist activities.
He was delivering a special talk regarding the Prime Minister’s historic address at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul one year ago on this day presenting Pakistan’s stance to the world about the incident and calling out India for its failure to protect its own people.
The Minister said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s address was a historic milestone that reinforced Pakistan’s credibility, resilience, and global stature.
Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan gave a robust response to Indian allegations during the National Security Committee meeting on April 24, last year while Prime Minister, during his address at Kakul, condemned the Pahalgam incident as a tragedy.
He said the Prime Minister emphasized that such incidents should not be used to justify baseless accusations. He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s call for transparent and impartial investigations placed India on the back foot and attracted international support for Pakistan’s position.
He said Pakistan not only expressed solidarity with victims, but also voiced global concern and grief. In contrast, India has never condemned acts of terrorism raising questions about its stance against the menace and proving once again that India is backing terrorism while Pakistan is a victim of terrorism.
He said Pakistan has also made significant sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, losing over ninety thousand lives and incurring more than 600 billion dollars in economic losses.
The Information Minister highlighted Pakistan’s firm stance against terrorist groups linked to India, including Fitna-al Khwarij, Fitna-al-Hindustan, BLA and TTP.
Attaullah Tarar stressed that Pakistan demonstrated institutional and military strength, safeguarding the national honor and dignity.
He said Prime Minister also maintained firm stance against India’s water terrorism and termed water security as Pakistan’s red line.
He highlighted that Prime Minister’s historic speech helped Pakistan’s narrative prevail on the diplomatic front, while India’s unfounded claims failed to gain global recognition.
