A monthly crime meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Dr. Ammara Shirazi. The meeting was attended by the SP Investigation Khushab, DSP Headquarters Khushab, DSP Legal Khushab, all SDPOs, and SHOs from across the district.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted regarding the eradication of crime, recovery in property-related cases, and the conviction rate in criminal cases. The performance of police stations, progress in under-investigation cases, and the redressal of public complaints were also discussed.
The DPO directed all officers to accelerate the crackdown against organized and active criminal gangs, proclaimed offenders, and drug dealers. She emphasized that the timely registration of FIRs and investigations on merit must be ensured at all costs to provide prompt justice to the public.
She further instructed that all under-investigation cases should be finalized strictly on merit and challans should be submitted to the courts within the stipulated time to avoid unnecessary delays in legal proceedings.
The DPO stated that the effective and prompt resolution of citizens’ complaints at the police station level is the top priority of the police department. She also directed all SHOs to treat every visitor to the police station with courtesy and ensure the timely resolution of public issues.
