A distinguished literary and poetry session was organized at “Saiban,” the guest house of Hussain Majrooh in West Wood Society, in honor of renowned journalist, anchor, analyst, poet, and versatile personality Ayesha Masood and Akbar Niazi.
The prestigious gathering was presided over by Dr. Danish Aziz and Ghulam Hussain Sajid. It proved to be a vibrant and memorable literary event in which poets and writers participated enthusiastically and presented their remarkable poetry. The audience highly appreciated the performances and applauded the poets warmly.
Among the female poets who presented their poetry were Dilshad Naseem, Ruqayya Akbar, Shazia Mufti, Dr. Shahida Haider, and Wafa Azar. The participants enjoyed an excellent selection of poetry throughout the evening.
Renowned prose writer Syeda Atrat Batool Naqvi spoke in detail about the columns and analytical writings of Ayesha Masood. She praised her writings for their literary richness, intellectual depth, and strong historical references. During the interactive session, participants asked various questions, which were answered thoughtfully and comprehensively.
Host Hussain Majrooh received great appreciation for his warm hospitality and gracious hosting of the event. Earlier, he delivered the welcome address and explained the vision and objectives behind establishing “Saiban” as a platform for literary, intellectual, and creative activities.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Ghulam Hussain Sajid delivered the presidential address. Ayesha Masood expressed her happiness over the warm reception and thanked Hussain Majrooh for organizing such a beautiful literary gathering. She also appreciated and praised the “Saiban” literary initiative.
