Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities concerned to ensure strict security arrangements during Eid-ul-Azha holidays.
Chairing a meeting in Lahore today, she directed for installation of metal detectors and walk-through gates at Eid prayer congregations.
She also ordered deployment of patrolling teams and women police in markets on Chand Raat.
The Chief Minister ordered strict action against one-wheeling, aerial firing, and the exhibition of weapons during Eid days.
