District Emergency Rescue 1122 Khushab conducted a practical demonstration of a mock exercise and emergency response training drill at the River Jhelum. The Deputy Commissioner of Khushab, Dr. Jehanzaib Hussain Labar, attended the event as the chief guest and reviewed the preparedness of Rescue 1122 to deal with potential flood and emergency situations.
During the exercise, Ali Hussain briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the arrangements and preparedness measures undertaken to cope with possible floods and other emergencies in 2026. The briefing covered rescue operations, emergency response plans, available resources, equipment, and manpower.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the preparedness, professionalism, and performance of Rescue 1122 during the mock exercise. He stated that all relevant departments must remain fully prepared and alert to handle any flood-related or emergency situation. He also directed that all machinery and equipment should be kept fully functional to ensure a prompt and effective response whenever required.
Dr. Jehanzaib Hussain Laar further emphasized the importance of coordination among Rescue 1122, the Health Department, the Irrigation Department, Civil Defence, and other concerned agencies. He said that stronger interdepartmental cooperation would ensure a well-coordinated and timely response to any natural disaster or emergency. He also instructed all departmental officers to work collectively to safeguard the lives and property of citizens and maintain a high level of readiness for any emergency situation.
