British-born Pakistani businesswoman and social activist Nina Khan Mashriqi has been honoured with the International Women’s Leadership Excellence Award at the British Asians Who Power 100 Awards 2026 in recognition of her outstanding contributions to women’s rights, humanitarian service, social welfare, and community development.
The prestigious ceremony, organised by Samara Events UK, celebrated individuals who have made significant contributions across various fields. Nina Khan Mashriqi was recognised for her extensive work in supporting disadvantaged communities, promoting women’s empowerment, and leading social and welfare initiatives both in the United Kingdom and internationally.
Her contributions span business, humanitarian assistance, social development, and community leadership. The award also acknowledged her leadership roles in international organisations, non-governmental institutions, and charitable projects dedicated to improving lives and advancing social causes.
Speaking after receiving the honour, Mashriqi described the award as a proud milestone and credited her family for their unwavering support. She said the achievement would not have been possible without the encouragement of her husband, children, and mother.
She dedicated the award to the people of Palestine, highlighting her efforts in organising a fundraising dinner in the UK that raised more than £100,000 for humanitarian assistance in Gaza. The funds supported the “Limbs4Gaza” initiative, aimed at helping children who lost limbs during the conflict.
Mashriqi also paid tribute to her grandfather, the renowned thinker Allama Mashriqi, saying his lifelong commitment to serving humanity continues to inspire her work. She reaffirmed her dedication to humanitarian causes and thanked the organisers of the British Asians Who Power 100 Awards for the recognition.
The awards ceremony was held at The Savoy Hotel in central London, bringing together prominent figures from business, public service, and community leadership.
