Commissioner Sargodha Division, Hafiz Shaukat Ali, attended the second convocation of Sargodha Medical College, where medical degrees were awarded to 250 graduates. Gold, silver, and bronze medals, along with special certificates, were also presented to students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance.

Addressing the ceremony, Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali congratulated the graduating students, their parents, and faculty members, describing the occasion as a significant milestone in the history of Sargodha Medical College. He stated that medical education plays a vital role in the progress of society and the welfare of the public, adding that the college has established a strong reputation in both academic and professional fields within a relatively short period.

The Commissioner urged the newly qualified doctors to dedicate their knowledge, skills, and character to the service of humanity. He emphasized the importance of professional integrity, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility in the medical profession. He further stated that the Government of Punjab is taking practical measures to improve healthcare and medical education, and that young doctors will play a crucial role in achieving these objectives.

The ceremony was attended by Special Advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab on Health, Major General (R) Professor Dr. Azhar Mahmood Kiani, as the chief guest. Other distinguished participants included Professor Dr. Muhammad Ayaz, Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University and recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Principal of Sargodha Medical College Professor Dr. Waris Farooka, faculty members, parents, and a large number of students.
