The National Women Journalists Forum, under the leadership of its President, Farzana Chaudhry, organized a delightful mango party for women journalists at the Lahore Press Club.
The event was specially arranged to celebrate several achievements, including the appointment of senior PTV producer Mubashira Sultan as Head of PTV’s Current Affairs Department; senior journalist Sofia Yazdani’s receiving the Pride of Performance award and performing Hajj; the outstanding achievement of Maham Tajammal, daughter of late senior journalist Shamaila Iqbal, who secured 1,047 marks in the matriculation examination; and the excellent performance of Iman Fatima, daughter of Najaf, the forum’s General Secretary, in the matriculation examination.
A large number of women journalists participated in the mango party, including senior journalists Darakhshanda Alamdaar, Rafia Naheed Ikram, Saadia Salahuddin, Rabia Azmat, Dr. Saima Iqbal, Iffat Alvi, Nabila Akbar, Iqra Mughal, Lubna Khan, Fauzia Sultan, Aini Bajwa, Afia Maqbool, Farah Alvi, Ayesha Tahseen, Shakeela Atif, Mah Noor Imran, Iman Fatima and others. The participants, dressed in colourful and elegant outfits, expressed their happiness and added to the charm and vibrancy of the gathering.
The National Women Journalists Forum hosted the guests with delicious, juicy mangoes, along with tea, pakoras, chips and other refreshments, making the gathering even more enjoyable amid the pleasant weather and light rain.
On the outstanding matriculation result of Maham Tajammal, senior journalists Darakhshanda Alamdaar, Saadia Salahuddin and Lubna Khan also presented her with gifts and congratulated her on her remarkable achievement, expressing their best wishes for her bright and successful future.
The event provided an opportunity for women journalists to celebrate professional and personal achievements in a warm and friendly atmosphere and to strengthen their bonds of mutual support and solidarity.
