Member of the National Assembly Malik Shakir Bashir Awan has said that Safar Masood Lillah is a unique and noteworthy addition to the tradition of Urdu literature and travel writing.
Talking to senior journalist Mehr Zarar Ahmed Akhtar, he said that the book by renowned author Masood Aslam Lillah is not merely an account of journeys to different countries and beautiful destinations; rather, it is an intellectual and emotional endeavor to observe and experience the world, humanity, and human issues from close quarters.
He said that the dedication of the book is highly meaningful and reflects a deep sense of compassion for humanity. The book clearly demonstrates that Masood Aslam Lillah has used travel not merely as a means of tourism, but as a source of observation, experience, and reflection.
Malik Shakir Bashir Awan observed that Safar Masood Lillah is, in fact, a journey within the human self alongside a journey across the world. It takes readers through beautiful landscapes and ultimately leads them to reflect upon the suffering of humanity, hope, and questions concerning the future.
He expressed the hope that the book would inspire readers to view the world from a new perspective and encourage them to reflect on various dimensions of human life.
On the occasion, Malik Shakir Bashir Awan also presented a copy of Safar Masood Lillah as a gift to senior journalist Mehr Zarar Ahmed Akhtar.
