A special and impressive gathering of women was organized by Fatima Qamar, President of the Women’s Wing of the Pakistan National Language Movement, to mark Independence Day.

Renowned writer Musarrat Kalanchvi, Dr. Fazilat Bano, Dr. Humaira Irshad, Dr. Uzma Zareen, Suraiya Shahid, Rubina Shaheen, Saima Mumtaz, Nabila Akbar, Ariba Rasool, and other women participated in the gathering and expressed their love for Pakistan through their thoughtful and inspiring views.

The speakers emphasized the need to educate the younger generation about the purpose for which Pakistan was created and the immense sacrifices made by their forefathers for the establishment of the country. They stressed that the values of an Islamic society should be promoted and that the historical events surrounding the creation of Pakistan in accordance with the Two-Nation Theory should be highlighted.

Fatima Qamar hosted the gathering and warmly entertained the participating women with a variety of delicious dishes. Later, a cake was cut to celebrate Independence Day, followed by a special prayer for the development, peace, prosperity, and well-being of Pakistan.
