National award-winning renowned Qari and expert in Tajweed and Qira’at, Qari Umar Daraz Khan Anwar, has departed for England, where he will participate in various religious and Islamic programmes and conduct special classes on Tajweed and Qur’anic recitation.

Qari Umar Daraz Khan Anwar is regarded as one of Pakistan’s talented Qur’anic reciters. Through his melodious voice, exceptional recitation and mastery of Tajweed, he has brought honour not only to Pakistan but also to the country’s name abroad. A proud son of Khushab district, he has demonstrated his God-given abilities at numerous national and international forums. In recognition of his religious and Qur’anic services, he has received several awards and honours, including a prestigious national award.

Speaking at the time of his departure for England, Qari Umar Daraz Khan Anwar said that it was a matter of great fortune and honour for him that Almighty Allah had chosen him to serve the religion of Islam and the Holy Qur’an. He said that during his visit, he would participate in various religious programmes and also teach Tajweed and Qira’at to young people and students.
He further stated that teaching and promoting the Holy Qur’an is a great blessing, adding that he would continue to utilise all his abilities for the service, promotion and dissemination of the Qur’an and for acquainting the younger generation with its teachings.
